Candidates who do not meet either or both of the academic requirements described in the preceding paragraph may also be eligible for admission to upper level music studies by passing the special examination. As laid down in section twenty of Ministerial Decree dated 25 June 1999, the special examination adds a specific exercise to the regular entrance exam. The purpose of the specific exercise is to allow candidates to demonstrate the appropriate intermediate level knowledge and competence, as well as the specific skills needed to take full advantage of the area of specialization requested.

Three: Entrance examination results and validity

Passing the entrance examination entitles students to enrol in upper level music studies at musikene for the school year corresponding to that specific examination announcement only, i.e. the 2004-2005 academic year.
